Lamps Could Stay

Inter Milan target Frank Lampard is on the verge of signing a new contract, after reports have emerged claiming Chelsea have agreed to a 5 year, $300,000 per week contract, totaling $78 million. Lampard will be the highest paid player in all of Britain. Lampard, 30, was entering the last year of his contract and was rumored to be making a move to Inter Milan following former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho next year. Mourinho had made several offers to Chelsea for the midfield maestro but after repeated failed attempts, Mourinho stated the midfielder would not make the move until after the completion of his contract. Chelsea’s midfield options include Michael Ballack, John Obi Mikel, Michael Essien, Frank Lampard and the newly aquired Deco.
